Multicultural Youth Support Services (MYSS) is a not-for-profit organisation that seeks to build resilience in young people who come from marginalised multicultural communities. Supporting young people primarily within the African communities of Victoria.
We’re focused on deliver practical and facilitating connections and culturally appropriate services that strengthens our young people’s sense of belonging and achieves positive outcomes for families.
Guided by our vision that young people from refugee families are engaged, resilient, and thriving, we are:

We understand the pervasive impact of trauma pre & post migration.
We provide:

African Traditional Counselling ATC (evidence-based individual, family inclusive, trauma-informed practices).

Mental health education to the African Australian community and generalist services who work with them.

Homework Club - The HC focuses on improving English, Mathematics and Science skills

Sport Activities - enhance physically and mentally, it boosts self-esteem, concentration skills and social and team building skills.

Role modelling and mentoring and to the African decent to achieve their full potentials

Emergency Food Relief – supporting people experiencing financial hardship
